These photos are of Falls Park in Sioux Falls. We stayed over night at a hotel/waterpark in the beginning of December and took Ariana to see the falls at Christmas time

My Flower Garden

I love my Lily's that I have in my garden!! They are so photogenic!! I was talking to two of my best friends today and they both commented that I have a lot of talent as a nature photographer. I guess I never saw myself as talented I just love to take photographs and a lot of times when I look at things I look at it as if I'm looking through the viewfinder of my camera. Maybe that 's the creative side of me? I challenged one of my friends to go and take some random photos this week. She commented about how she could take the same photo as me and mine would turn out better - I disagree!!! I remember someone telling me that you could use a disposable camera and still take a wonderful shot - it's all in the capturing of the photograph - not the equipment you use. So I challenge all of you to look outside the box and find something to capture today!!!

Random/Bored Photos

It was so cold today that I stayed home all day with Jackson. Ariana went to church with Grandma and so I got caught up on all my photos on here. Then I took some of Jackson and thought "Hmm what else could I take photos of?" So these are a few bored/random photos for you!!

Hot off the press

This first photo of Jackson is one of my new favorites. That is one of the things about photography is capturing different expressions. The eyes are a huge favorite on mine. They are the windows to our souls and I just love his brown eyes. It's such a difference from Ariana's ice blue eyes!! Jackson is so happy today - I was on the floor with him and I was making him laugh!! Oh it was so much fun and I truly forgot how much a baby's laugh can melt your heart! So the title of this blog is true - they are hot off the press only taken about an hour ago! EnJOY!!

Christmas 2008

The first few photos on here on just some of my presents under the tree. Honestly I sat on the couch every night looking at them and thinking "wow that would make a good photograph" and so one night I grabbed the camera and took them. I remember the sun was just starting to set so I got a little bit of a golden color from the sun. I thought they turned out well.

I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday filled with love and family. Our Christmas went okay. Christmas Eve service was a little tough but it helped having family around us. Silent Night was the last song that we sang at Blake's funeral and was also the last song that we sang at church on Xmas Eve. I have tons of photos but I just picked some of the better ones to share with you.
